Stephanie is a Holistic Nutrition Consultant and Personal Chef for people struggling with gut health, inflammatory bowel disease, and other chronic conditions. Stephanie is the founder of Colo Kitchen, where she combines her enthusiasm for client consulting with her love for the kitchen. She compassionately and intensively works with clients to provide deep support, as she helps them transition to a cleaner diet and lifestyle based on their unique clinical and practical needs. She provides education, guidance, and navigation, as well as inspiration, encouragement, and motivation. Stephanie also teaches kitchen skills, provides anti-inflammatory meals, and loves helping people to develop a new relationship with food by showing how real, whole food feels so much better and tastes so delicious.
Stephanie overcame 30 years of Ulcerative Colitis by completely abandoning the Standard American Diet and embracing the gut-healing Specific Carbohydrate DietTM (SCD). After decades of being told “diet doesn’t really matter,” Stephanie’s health turned around within a matter of months; this amazed her doctors as she achieved remission and successfully weaned off prescription medications. Meanwhile, she found that her energy, weight, sleep, mood, and immune function improved as well. This experience changed Stephanie’s direction in life.
Having initially earned a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stephanie spent 13-years in the computer networking industry. Then, while raising her children, she developed and ran a small catering business. After reclaiming her health with SCD, her fascination with the scientific connections between nutrition and health inspired Stephanie to earn a M.S. in Holistic Nutrition and transform her business so that she could help others feel better too.
